A family home in Eltham, London within a Conservation Area called the Progress Estate which has an Article 4 direction. The project was a internal refurbishment and an extension of an existing family home to accommodate a growing family.

The existing property is an end of terraced house surrounding a large green. The internal configuration was small and as the family was growing rapidly they needed additional internal space along with storage areas.

The proposed extension included a new kitchen and family area. Onceextended at the rear the additional area meant that it was possible to add a new utility, WC and much needed storage areas near the existing staircase. A new porch and the additional increased entrance lobby helped to provide a spacious welcome into the family home.

The proposed extension includes glazed folding doors onto the garden and three large glass roof lights to let as much light as possible into the rear of the house. The new timber decking wraps around the back of the house for better access into the garden.
